Please enjoy this exciting wedding story from our friends Kim and Eric!
Eric and I were married on June 26th, 2010 at Brandywine CC in Wilmington, DE. After our ceremony at the club, we and our wedding party took a short ride in our wedding bus to a nearby winery in Chester County, PA to take pictures. Our photographer knew the winery owners so we were able to take pictures there.
The overall theme of our wedding was outdoor fun. We used bright colors for as much as we could. The flowers were shades of pink, yellow, and orange. The linens were bright pink and green. We had giant pink rope tubs filled with pink and yellow flip flops for guests to take.
My dress had flowers along the hemline and over the shoulder strap. My matron of honor and bridesmaids all wore pink cotton dresses. I had to figure out a way for the guys to fit the theme as well. What better way than to incorporate vineyard vines ties! Eric and I bought a tie for each of the men that were a part of our wedding as part of our gift to them. Each tie was a shade of pink and suited the personality of its wearer. We had a great time going through all of the patterns! Eric had daisies, the best man, Ryan, had golf balls and tees, the Groomsmen – Harry had mojitos, Andy had Republican elephants, and Jon had margaritas. My dad had a Red Sox tie and Eric’s dad had the bluefish tie. The vineyard vines ties added even more of a personal touch to our wedding and allowed me to tie in my preppy New England roots to our theme!
